Surrounding > Nature
The flora in Sweden is very various. In the surroundings of Idre large and small rivers flow in the wooded area. The forests exist partly from planted spruce for the wood industry. In the area there are some primeval forests where you can find trees of thousand years old. You will find a primeval forest adjacent to the campsite. This nature area has been undisturbed for a long time. Here you will find old pieces of wood lying there for hundreds of years. They have dried out by the sun and the frost.
Due to the pure air in the North there is an enormous variety of lichens. They colour the stones red, black or grey. Also the reindeer moss you will find in abundance.
